Peracetic acid (peroxyacetic acid, or PAA), is a chemical in the organic peroxide family. It is a bright, colorless liquid with a strong oxidizing potential.
Applications*
Peracetic acid is used in healthcare for its strong anti biocide activity for disinfection of medical devices (endoscopes or haemodialysis cartridges).
