Solvay Chemicals Sector made the decision to ensure that all risks are managed when Chemicals are sold by Solvay Chemicals for healthcare*, food and feed applications.
The Risk Management Policy follows current policies and codes applicable within the Group and integrates specific risk management process and procedures to have relevant risks under control.
The strategies, business decisions and operations concerning the potential use of their products in healthcare, food and feed applications are affected by this policy.
In the frame of this Risk Management policy Solvay’s Chemicals Sector defines Sector’s standards. All entities operating in healthcare*, food and feed market segments have to comply with those standards.

For the Quality Management, appropriate standards have been defined for every application (healthcare*, food and feed).
The Chemicals Sector developed specific grades of chemicals which are proposed to those market segments when they comply with the Sector’s standards.
To maintain continuously the right level of suitability, the Chemicals Sector is monitoring the compliance of relevant entities, sites and activities.
The Chemical Sector is also supporting any initiative to get consistent certification (CEP, HACCP, ISO13485, ISO9001, GMP, GMP+).
