OSSIMAG® ERB is a Heavy Magnesium Oxide according to the "Characters" of European Pharmacopoeia 5th Ed. 2005:

“It is a fine, white or almost white powder, practically insoluble in water. It dissolves in dilute acids with at most slight effervescence”.

Special characteristics are:

OSSIMAG® ERB is produced in Angera (Italy).

OSSIMAG® ERB is a heavy magnesium oxide with a typical value of apparent volume of 23 ml/15 g (about 650 g/l).

It is used:

• as antacid and alkaline buffer in Pharmaceutical application;

• as absorbent and pH adjuster in cosmetics;

• as a nutrient supplement, pH control agent and processing aid in food processing.

Thanks to its density, it allows different compounding possibilities for tablet and powder dosage systems.
