SOCAL® S4V DCS is a co-granulated mixture, for Direct Compression applications manufactured from pure Precipitated Calcium Carbonate and Sorbitol powders, meeting the purity criteria of the Eur.Ph. and USP.

SOCAL® S4V DCS contains 60% of Calcium Carbonate and 40% of Sorbitol.

Special characteristics are:

• Particle structure:  Agglomerates of Scalenohedral 

• Calcite and Sorbitol

High and precise calcium content
(no binders used).
High free flowing characteristics.
Enhancement of mouth-feel.

APPLICATION AND ADVANTAGES

SOCAL® S4V DCS with its well defined granulometry and its uniform content of Calcium Carbonate and Sorbitol is suitable for the production of chewable tablets with Direct Compression technique or where a taste mask is necessary.

SOCAL® S4V DCS eliminates the costs of mixing the two main components and the need of time-consuming and expensive in-house wet granulation for the production of tablets and sachets.

It has typical low lead content (< 0.5ppm), suitable for uses where California proposition 65 is concerned.

COMPRESSIBILITY

SOCAL® S4V DCS is directly compressible and enables to obtain tablets with low friability at low compression forces.

SOCAL® S4V DCS is suitable where good flowability and optimal compression are requested.

APPEARANCE

SOCAL® S4V DCS is an almost dustless white to off-white granule.

PACKAGING

The standard packaging offered for SOCAL® S4V DCS is:

• 25 kg PE-bags (for Food contact) on 1000 kg CP1 pallet (1000x1200 mm) with a protective

• PE lining
