SOCAL® S3V DCS is a co-granulated mixture, for Direct Compression applications manufactured from pure Precipitated Calcium Carbonate and Sorbitol powders, meeting the purity criteria of the Eur.Ph. and USP.
SOCAL® S3V DCS contains 70% of Calcium Carbonate and 30% of Sorbitol.
Special characteristics are:

High and precise calcium content
(no binders used).
High free flowing characteristics.
Enhancement of mouth-feel.
APPLICATION AND ADVANTAGES
SOCAL® S3V DCS with its well defined granulometry and its uniform content of Calcium Carbonate and Sorbitol is suitable for the production of chewable tablets with Direct Compression technique or where a taste mask is necessary.
SOCAL® S3V DCS eliminates the costs of mixing the two main components and the need of time-consuming and expensive in-house wet granulation for the production of tablets and sachets.
It has typical low lead content (< 0.5ppm), suitable for uses where California proposition 65 is concerned.
COMPRESSIBILITY
SOCAL® S3V DCS is directly compressible and enables to obtain tablets with low friability at low compression forces.
SOCAL® S3V DCS is suitable where good flowability and optimal compression are requested.
APPEARANCE
SOCAL® S3V DCS is an almost dustless white to off-white granule.
